Founder and Visionary of AKILOV
Benjamin Akilov, the founder of Akilov, embarked on his remarkable journey in Tashkent, where his early fascination with design and craftsmanship first took root. His path was further defined by his academic achievements, as he excelled in mechanics and graduated with honors in mechanical engineering. This strong foundation in engineering principles would later become the cornerstone of his innovative approach to product design.
Emigrating to Israel, Benjamin carried not just his dreams but also a relentless drive to innovate and excel in the realm of home and kitchen product design. His journey mirrors the transformative path of aluminum – the core material in Akilov's products – from its raw, unrefined state to a beautifully crafted, anodized finish.

"My passion for design began in my childhood," Benjamin recalls. "I was always intrigued by the elegance and functionality of everyday objects. This fascination led me to explore the world of aluminum and its endless possibilities in design."
In 1997, Benjamin established a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) factory in Jerusalem. Initially, the goal was to provide services to individuals with creative ideas, helping to bring their visions to life. This experience in the CNC industry not only honed his skills but also ignited a spark to create his own products. "Working with CNC machines, I realized the potential of aluminum. Its strength, malleability, and aesthetic appeal made it the perfect canvas for my designs," he explains.
Akilov, under Benjamin's leadership, is a testament to his belief in the harmony of form and function. The company's products, known for their sleek aluminum construction and anodized finish, offer durability and a timeless elegance. This process not only enhances the material's natural beauty but also aligns with Benjamin's vision of creating sustainable and long-lasting products.
"Each product we design is a blend of art and engineering," Benjamin states. "Our use of aluminum, coupled with advanced techniques like sandblasting and anodizing, allows us to create pieces that are not just visually stunning but also built to last."
